Partial Shipment of an order - and how do I send the rest?

If you need to make a partial shipment of an order but are unsure how to do it, we will guide you below.

The workflow for partial shipments is as follows:

  1. Once you have created your order as usual, you need to create a shipment for your order. The shipment is created as usual by simply clicking on the shipment link within the order. Alternatively, you can see how to create a shipment from the order overview.
  2. When you are about to pick the shipment, you need to specify what is actually being shipped from your warehouse. If you are only shipping part of your order, you must indicate this here. This applies whether you are omitting specific items from your order or wish to ship fewer of the same item from the order. Once you know what needs to be shipped from your warehouse, you should either delete the order lines you do not wish to ship or adjust the quantity you want to ship. Once you have done this, press 'Pick.'
  3. Once you have picked your order lines, you need to confirm your shipment. If the shipment you have confirmed does not contain all the items from the order, the order will be given the status 'Partially Shipped.'
  4. To send the rest of the order, you need to navigate back to the order and press the shipment link again. From here, you will see that the remaining order lines correspond to the difference between the original order and all previous shipments on the order.
  5. When you have picked the remaining order lines and confirmed the shipment, you will see that the order has been given the status 'Shipped,' which means that Rackbeat considers these items as pulled from inventory and shipped."
