This way, both the item and the parts will be registered in the inventory. Below, we guide you through the process. To convert an item to a bill of materials, it is important that no transactions (i.e., actions) have been made on the item, and the item must not be in stock. ### Converting an item into a bill of materials: 1. Select the **"Items"** tab at the top. 2. Click on **"Products"** in the menu. 3. Find the product in the overview that you wish to convert to a bill of materials. 4. Provide relevant information 6. Scroll down the page and add the underlying products that together make up the bill of materials. 7. Click **"Save Changes"** to complete.
