The item must have a valid EAN-13 barcode in Rackbeat. 2. Go to **Items** and find the item you want to add a barcode to. 2. Click on the item to access its data. 3. Add the barcode in the **Barcode** field. 4. Click **Save** to save your changes.   --- ### Activating the Barcode Field in the Layout To ensure the barcode appears on the PDF, the field must be activated in your layout: 1. Go to **Company Settings.** 2. Click on **Layouts** in the menu on the left. 3. Click on the layout name to edit it. 4. Select the **type of PDF** you would like the barcode to be added to. 5. Check the Barcode Image field. 6. Adjust the column widths so the percentage at the bottom of the page reaches 100%. 7. Click Save Changes to save your layout changes.   --- ### Troubleshooting #### What do I do if the 'Barcode Image' column is not displayed on my PDF? This may be due to the correct layout not being selected. Ensure that: - You have chosen the correct layout. - The layout is saved after adding the barcode column. #### What do I do if the 'Barcode Image' column is displayed, but there is no image for the item? If the column is visible but the image is missing, it may be due to: - The item not having a barcode. - The barcode being invalid.
