How to Add a Barcode Image to Your PDF
Add barcodes to your PDFs by ensuring that the item has a valid EAN-13 barcode and by activating the field in your layout under settings.
In Rackbeat, you can include a barcode in the generated PDF files. These barcodes can be scanned with a scanner.

Before this can be done, two prerequisites must be met:
- The item must have a valid EAN-13 barcode in Rackbeat.
- The barcode must be activated in the layout that is used.

Adding the Barcode to an Item in Rackbeat
Follow these steps to add a barcode to an item:

Go to Items and find the item you want to add a barcode to.

Click on the item to access its data.

Add the barcode in the Barcode field.

Click Save to save your changes.
Activating the Barcode Field in the Layout
To ensure the barcode appears on the PDF, the field must be activated in your layout:

Go to Company Settings.

Click on Layouts in the menu on the left.

Click on the layout name to edit it.

Select the type of PDF you would like the barcode to be added to.

Check the Barcode Image field.

Adjust the column widths so the percentage at the bottom of the page reaches 100%.

What do I do if the 'Barcode Image' column is not displayed on my PDF?
This may be due to the correct layout not being selected. Ensure that:
- You have chosen the correct layout.
- The layout is saved after adding the barcode column.
What do I do if the 'Barcode Image' column is displayed, but there is no image for the item?
If the column is visible but the image is missing, it may be due to:
- The item not having a barcode.
- The barcode being invalid.
Ensure the item has a valid EAN-13 barcode for the image to be generated correctly.
