What is “Max Credit”?

In Rackbeat you can add a “max credit” for your customers; in this article we go through how this feature is set up and when it becomes relevant.

What does this feature do?

The “Max Credit” feature will give you a warning when the order/invoice you are working on at that moment exceeds the amount you have specified.

When this happens, the following message will appear on the order:
“NOTE: This customer has a credit limit of …”

Setting up Max Credit

When you want to set up max credit for your customers in Rackbeat, you should start by finding the customer for whom you want to add it. Alternately, you can set it up when you create a new customer.

  1. Go to your customer overview and find the customer you want to add it to.

  2. Click on the name of your customer to edit the customer information.

  3. Update the field “Max Credit” with the desired credit limit the customer should have.

  4. Save your changes.

Now you have added a max credit to your customer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you confirm the order/invoice if max credit is exceeded?

Yes, you can. The feature acts as a warning system, but will not prevent the user from confirming an order where the amount is higher than the max credit field.

Will the warning appear if there are several orders/invoices that in total exceed the max credit amount?

No, the warning will only appear if the individual order/invoice you are working on exceeds the specified max credit amount.

The warning will not appear if you have multiple orders/invoices which together exceed the specified amount.
