How to create a Movements in Rackbeat

You can move products from one location to another, using Movement or Transport movement in Rackbeat

In Rackbeat, you can perform two types of transfers: standard transfer and transport transfer. This guide explains the difference between the two and how to efficiently manage these processes.

Table of Contents

Movement

This is the basic form of moving goods from one location to another within the company.

Creating a movement

  1. Select the "Products" tab.

  2. Click "Movement" in the menu.

  3. Click "Create New" to enter details such as date, locations, and reason.

  4. Select product and quantity. If you need to move multiple products, click "New Line".

  5. Save as draft and post to confirm the transfer.

Transport Movements

This type of transfer is used for goods that are in long-term transport, for example in a container or on a cargo ship.

Creating a Transport movement

  1. Select the "Products" tab.

  2. Click "Transport Movement" in the menu.

  3. Create a new transfer and specify the date as well as three locations: start, transport, and end.

  4. Click "Create" to add products.

  5. Add products and quantities, then post to start the transfer.

Posting the transfer will move the goods to their transport location.

To complete the transfer, create a receipt → edit it, adjust quantities, and confirm the receipt.

The goods are now received at the final destination.
