How to Work with Customs Codes in Rackbeat
Customize Rackbeat with custom fields for customs codes to ensure proper customs handling
When working with import and export, it is important to handle customs codes (also known as 'HS codes') correctly to ensure you pay the correct duties and avoid potential fines or back charges. Although Rackbeat does not have a specific field for customs information, you can easily customize the platform using custom fields if you have a Premium agreement.

What is a customs code, and why is it important?
Customs codes are a standardized way to categorize goods, used globally to determine duty rates and import/export regulations. The customs code determines, among other things:
-
Whether duty should be paid.
-
What the duty rate is.
-
If any special trade agreements or regulations apply.
By using custom fields in Rackbeat, you can effectively manage customs codes and ensure your goods comply with customs regulations.
